The Mayo School Break Club run by Western Care visited Westport House today to launch a Sensory Space for visitors with sensory needs. Nestled in between the old house bridge and the Grace O’Malley Statue, guests can enjoy some quiet time listening to the bird song, the wind in the trees and the sound of the river if they need a break. Families with children with sensory processing difficulties are also invited to the FREE Sensory Day at the Pirate Adventure Park at Westport House taking place on Sunday, September 1 from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
