For a cracking Easter head to Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park- one of Ireland’s best loved family attractions
Easter Egg Treasure Hunt taking place on Easter Sunday, March 31st
Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park in Co. Mayo has an egg-citing line up of family friendly events taking place during their annual Easter weekend egg-stravaganza on March 31. Pinkie, the Easter Bunny – and one of Westport House’s oldest residents – will hop out to welcome all the boys and girls who visit his home and he will also lead the much-anticipated Easter egg hunt.
The Hunt will take place on Easter Sunday through the stunning and freshly blooming parkland grounds with waterfalls, lakes, rolling lawns and scenic backdrop of the beautiful Clew Bay and magnificent Croagh Patrick. And the first 250 kids to complete the hunt will get a complimentary Easter egg as their treasure! Each family that finishes will also be entered to win some great prizes, awarded at 5.30pm on the day.
The Hunt is inclusive in the regular admission fee for the Pirate Adventure Park. So, when you’ve completed that, why not continue the fun with the outdoor amusements – suitable for kids under 12. The selection of rides in the Park is sure to put a spring in your little bunnies’ step, as they hop from the Cannonball Run slide to the Pirates Swinging Ship and Pirate Plunge log flume ride. There will also be plenty of fun adventure activities for all ages from zorbing to zip wire, archery and combat games. And of course the historic Westport House itself is most definitely worth a visit.
With an Easter offering like this it comes as no surprise that Westport House was recently voted one of the Best Family Visitor Attractions in Ireland. Pre-booking for treasure hunts will not be required.
The Pirate Adventure Park will remain open for the entire Easter break – March 23rd to April 7th. For full details on activities, tickets, opening times and prices call 098 27766 or visit www.westporthouse.ie
